Summary: Great fun for all-but addictive!!
I bought this six weeks ago and have played it most days, My wife loves it too so we spend many great afternoons fishing!! Until the weather gets better and we can fish for real this game provides some good fun and like real fishing it can be very frustrating when you do everything right and still lose the fish! On some lakes it looks like there are hardly any fish in it and then you find the hotspots and bag some beauties! If you like fishing this is the game to have, the remote is responsive and graphics are very good and you can change the sounds in play. There are a number of different lakes to choose from and you can fish in tournament mode or practice so you can suss out where the best fish are. Can't wait to play it again, but beware- once you start, you won't get much else done!!

Summary: Annoyingly addictive
I only just got my Wii and a good friend had this, I was unsure to be honest..... fishing from your sofa? However, with strategy, technique, frustration and fun I really ended up getting into this! Very addictive! Only problem I see is that I finally got no1 and I kept getting the message to insert the disc although it was already in..... anyway worth it at the right price

p.s. turn off the music and keep the annoying voice over low..... just put some music on the stereo instead!

Summary: Wii game for all ages
I purchased the game as my son had bought the earlier version and said how hard it was , so as I had a Wii-plus , I thought it might be better, and I think it is as the motion is great.Delivery was promot as expected from this supplier , arrived about 4 days later.Still lots to learn about the game - hence its value.

Summary: Utter junk, The worst game on the wii.
I don't think i've ever had the misfortune to play a game this bad, I would try and give this game a fair review but it's soooo bad it isn't worth that so here goes....
The graphics are poor, very sub standard despite the fact it says it has better graphics, The music is diabolical sounding more like a carnival game than a fishing one although thankfully this can be turned off.
Gameplay wise this promised much by utilising wii motion plus for better more realistic gameplay....nope it makes no difference with or without, Try and cast underarm and you fail, cast to the side you fail, you get the picture.
Actually trying to hook a fish isn't that difficult and you can pretty much hook one within a few minutes of starting the game, but unfortunately the real problems then begin, and this is indeed without a doubt the worst part.
Once you've hooked the fish you then have to move the remote in different directions in the same way as most fishing games, however it doesn't work at all and after 20 or 30 seconds the fish just gets away.
Now i wouldn't mind that happening if it worked once in a while but it's so poorly done that it doesn't matter how much you twist and turn the remote the game just doesn't know what it's doing and you lose the fish no matter what you do, and all this is made all the worse by the most painful teeth itching voice overs i've ever heard, and these cannot be turned off.
The voice shouts "up down left right" etc but it just becomes highly annoying, not to mention when you lose a fish (which will happen a lot) the voice over you get is less than complimentary and after the 5th or sixth time i gave up.
Unfortunately fishing games are few and far between these days, the last decent one i played was bass fishing on the dreamcast, and yes i know that game is on the wii but that is a poorly made version of the old dc game as well and so it's difficult to recommend another one because there isn't really any decent ones.
So if your looking to do some fishing then maybe doing it for real would be the best idea as playing on a tv these days isn't worth it, and when you consider that a fishing game can't be the most difficult game to program you would think it would be easy to make a good armchair version but unfortunately this isn't it.
Rubbish, if i could give it 0 stars i would, one of the worst games ever made on any system if not the worst.
